I wanted to tell you how a thing as simple as music can touch our lives, how it can affect our lives. Music is something which can change people by changing their mood and emotions which also can affect their decisions, resulting sometimes in long term change Music changed my life because it provides a reminder of how we are going to change our life and wellbeing to become optimistic.
There is a drive that enhances personal concept to improve awareness and conviction to become productive and competitive. So the essay contest writing prompt for July& August 2012 was simple: In 500 words or less, share a story about an important moment in your life and how music, or a song, played its role. The writing contest prize included a Stage of Life SWAG package that contained 100 in sponsor gift cards. Other states represented were Pennsylvania, Georgia, Indiana, California, Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma and Maryland.
The music students received their scholarship awards from local music dealers representing NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants), a major cosponsor of the program. One overall grand prize winner and two 2nd prize winners in the elementary and middle school categories were selected from among the 24 essays submitted by a panel of Harmony Program Board members.
Here at the Harmony Program, we believe that all children should have access to music education. Student can submit the same essay to both National and State. Please send two copies of your essay: one with FFMC Essay Contest Application Form and the second copy of the essay, with the National Music Week Essay Contest entry form.
